Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to your use of the postal.ID platform, APIs, and Site.
1. Prohibited activities
You must not use postal.ID to:
- violate any law or regulation (including data protection, marketing rules, sanctions laws);
- send unlawful, deceptive, or abusive communications;
- engage in harassment, discrimination, or threats;
- upload or transmit malware, exploit vulnerabilities, or attempt unauthorized access;
- scrape, probe, or reverse engineer the platform except where expressly permitted by law;
- use the platform to verify individuals without a lawful basis and appropriate notices/consents.
2. Verification-specific restrictions
You must not:
- submit data you do not have the right to use;
- impersonate another party;
- attempt to "test" addresses or phone numbers at scale (enumeration);
- submit children's data unless lawful and necessary and you have required authorizations.
3. Enforcement
postal.ID may suspend or terminate access for AUP violations, suspected fraud, or to comply with law.
